About Us

Loud and lively street music from North-East England, UK. Available for festivals, parties, weddings, indoor and outdoor events.

WHO?

The unique Tenth Avenue Band from Newcastle upon Tyne has been entertaining for the last 15 years at festivals, parties, weddings, theatre openings, balls, outdoor events, in pubs and on the streets.

We play a mixture of music - Latin, Jazz, Blues, African and Ska. Our repertoire also includes some Yiddish Klezmer and some Croatian tunes, but we are best known for our Latin dance music - Mambo, Cumbia, Rhumba, Cha-Cha and Samba.

WHAT?

We are a completely acoustic band. Our usual line-up consists of trumpets, trombones, saxophones, clarinet, flutes and percussion.

We can play indoors or out; in one place or in procession; we can be street entertainers or a dance band, and everywhere we go our audiences are tapping their feet and wiggling their waistlines!

WHERE?

We play all over the North of England and have appeared on local television and radio. We have entertained all around the country and played at events in Berlin, Paris, Hamburg, Prague and Utrecht. We have also busked in France, Germany, Holland Spain and Italy.
