The padlock where present indicates the EDM has been suspended. There are a couple of reasons why an EDM may be suspended. It could be the primary sponsor has been promoted to the Government. In these cases the Table Office will contact the secondary sponsor to see if they want to become the primary sponsor. The other reason why an EDM may be suspended is because of legal reasons, for example a situation is mentioned in an EDM which becomes sub judice.
