Everyone should feel safe at home and in the street. I will argue for more resources for the police to work in our neighbourhoods.
Schools
Support for teachers working to raise standards is crucial. I will listen to local teachers to ensure they are getting the help they need.
Transport
Winter chaos on the East Coast mainline has shown how much we need an efficient rail service. I shall continue to press for most trains to stop at Durham station.
