G61 3 JOHN

The third letter of John is a personal letter addressed to an individual Gaius who was probably a disciple and fellow worker of the Elder (as Timothy was of St. Paul, and described as "his child").

Although the details and circumstances of this letter are scanty, the picture they give us of the early Church is very much what we would expect.
