St. Paul writes tenderly to the Christians in Colossae with whom he is well pleased because of their steadfast faith and love.
Colossians 1.vv.1-23

The Apostle refers to the church as the "Body of Christ" and declares his devotion to the upbuilding of it and the imparting of the "mystery" of the gospel.
